As most of you know, we are planning visits to start again in our gazebo from 2nd November. Some of you have already made appointments. Marnie will be in touch to arrange these. Is it possible for those who have already booked to have this as a regular slot? This would avoid a lot of hassle. If you haven’t heard from Marnie yet, it won’t be long.
Other contact can still be supported via letters, emails, telephone calls and video calls using Skype/Zoom/Facetime.
Last week we started Restore2. This is a piece of work around observations of Residents. We were already taking temperatures twice a day. Now we are checking SATs twice a day too. This will be for all residents so we can establish their ‘norm’. This will them make it more obvious to us if they become unwell, and if they were to get Covid or deteriorate in other ways, we would be in a better position when we speak with GPs or Paramedics.
All Residents have been tested this week and all had a negative result.

Thank you to Fr Darren A’Court who led our Harvest Service Last Friday. It was lovely to come together virtually in celebration and thanksgiving.
The Residents have been busy making Halloween decorations for our windows and spider pompoms to hang around looking spooky. We will be having a Halloween party on Friday 30th. Staff and Residents will be dressing up!!

She is great support to all the team and goes above and beyond to ensure all targets are met, so that the home can provide an excellent standard of care and keep driving forward.
Jemma Carnota-Turner and Georgia Damon-Pope – Heads of Care
Jemma goes above and beyond and is always flexible to meet the needs of the service and covering shifts at short notice.
In the last few months Jemma has worked hard to gain her NVQ Level 5 award. Jemma is always there to help any member of staff and is always available frontline when there are any problems. Jemma is conscientious, dependable and punctual and a good role model to others. Also, displays a helpful, and positive attitude towards to all residents, relatives and staff. Jemma demonstrates a commitment to the homes values and maintains a consistent professional approach towards her colleagues, Residents and relatives at all times. Jemma continues to take the home forward.
Georgia has shown dedication to fulfilling her job responsibilities and always goes above and beyond in her role. Georgia has worked hard to gain her NVQ Level 3 award and should feel proud of her achievements. Georgia displays a helpful approach to her work, co-operative and always helping others demonstrating good teamwork. Georgia has shown willingness to take on her ongoing responsibilities and demonstrates a commitment and professionalism in her role. Georgia is trustworthy, hardworking and shows a commitment to the homes values and maintains a consistent professional approach towards her colleagues
