Weekly News update 6th November 2020

As most of you who arranged visits previously will already know, we are back on track for our gazebo visits. Sorry for the confusion and rearrangements at the beginning of the week, as we waited for news from the government regards the latest lockdown measures. And thanks for being so understanding and accommodating.

The times and days are set but a different person can come as long as it’s one at a time and with prior notice. We are so happy to be able to continue with this for the wellbeing of our residents and relatives.

So come to the front door, a member of staff will check your temperature, show you how to fill in our form, and give you PPE and sign in with your details. Please bring your own mask.

We are sorry we can only offer once a week visits at present, unless in exceptional circumstances, such as End of Life.

We understand that this must be an anxious time for all our residents, families, and friends. But such measures have been imposed on us by Government for a very good reason which will protect us all in these extraordinary times.

Staying Connected
We are working hard to support the use of technology to allow additional video calls to take place over Skype or FaceTime to help with this. Our Facebook page and website is a great way to see what our home is doing and for keeping up-to-date on everything your loved ones are doing.

So, what have we been up to this last week!

Halloween Party
Everyone had a wonderful spooky time last Friday and enjoyed the Halloween party. Thank you for Margaret’s lovely speech.

Birthdays
Saturday 31st saw 2 big birthdays, with fun activities throughout the day, followed by a lovely tea party, bucks fizz and plenty of cake!
